Controlled Substance Prescribing

Goochland Behavioral Health follows established clinical and regulatory standards for prescribing controlled medications.

Controlled substances are prescribed only when clinically appropriate and following a comprehensive evaluation. A prior diagnosis or prescription does not guarantee continuation of treatment.

Patients receiving controlled medications must attend required follow-up appointments, comply with prescription monitoring requirements, and follow all practice policies regarding medication safety, refills, and pharmacy changes.
