GBH provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for individuals ages 18 - 64. 

We offer primarily telehealth services with limited in-person appointments offered in our Manakin-Sabot location. Our office is conveniently located with easy access to I-64, 

VA-288, and Broad Street Road. Please call to inquire about in-person appointment availability and/or office location.

Private Pay offers a more personalized, straightforward approach to psychiatric care without the restrictions often associated with insurance.

Patients benefit from greater privacy, transparent pricing, individualized treatment, and direct access to their provider. Appointments are focused on clinical needs rather than insurance requirements, allowing treatment decisions to remain between you and your provider.

There are no insurance authorizations, claim denials, or unexpected billing adjustments. Patients with out-of-network benefits may request a superbill for potential reimbursement.

COSTS:  60-minute Initial Psychiatric Evaluation $250 / 30-minute Follow-Ups $150

GBH participates with a select number of commercial insurance plans. All insurance verification, eligibility determinations, billing, and payment processing are managed directly by our scheduling and billing partner, Grow Therapy. 

Please note: We do not participate in government-sponsored healthcare programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, or Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare programs.

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a fee of $150 at the discretion of the provider. "No shows" will be billed a fee of $150 without exception. 

GBH is a small, independent psychiatric practice dedicated to providing personalized, thoughtful care. As a solo-provider practice without administrative staff, we prioritize direct communication, continuity of care, and a collaborative treatment relationship.

Our practice is best suited for adults with stable, lower-acuity psychiatric conditions who are motivated to participate actively in their treatment, attend scheduled appointments, and follow mutually agreed-upon treatment plans.

We do not provide emergency or crisis services, 24-hour availability, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, or treatment for conditions requiring a higher level of psychiatric care, including active psychosis, acute suicidality, or significant behavioral instability.

Our practice does not provide disability evaluations, FMLA certifications, employment or fitness-for-duty assessments, legal documentation, or other administrative evaluations unrelated to ongoing psychiatric treatment.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, supportive, and clinically appropriate environment where patients and their provider work together toward long-term mental wellness.
