GBH provides outpatient mental health services for individuals ages 13 and up.


Although our focus is medication management, we take a holistic approach to care. This means we consider all aspects of a person's life (including diet, exercise, and supplementation) when developing a treatment plan. We believe in the importance of collaboration and work closely with our patients to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs and goals. 


We offer primarily telehealth services with limited in-person appointments offered in our new Manakin-Sabot location. Our office is conveniently located with easy access to I-64, 

VA-288, and Broad Street Road. Please call to inquire about in-person appointment availability and/or office location.


At this time, we are contracted with Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Humana, Optum, and Quest Behavioral Health. We DO NOT accept Medicaid or Medicare. Self-pay options are available. Please reach out to GBH if you do not see your plan listed here - the list will change as we become credentialed with more plans.  


We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a fee of $150 at the discretion of the provider. "No shows" will be billed a fee of $150 without exception. 


Text messaging is the best way to reach us, but please be aware that SMS is not encrypted. If you need to convey private medical information, please go through the portal. Messages are checked daily during normal business hours. Messages left outside of normal hours of operation will be picked up the next business day. Please be proactive with refill requests - we do not check messages or prescribe refills on the weekends.


There are several reasons why we may eventually end our professional relationship. You may decide you would rather work with a different provider, or we may reach the conclusion you would be better served working with someone else. Ongoing failure to pay for treatment, attend appointments, or communicate with providers in a respectful and timely manner can also result in discharge from the practice. In these instances, to ensure you have continued access to care, we will make every reasonable effort to discuss with you the reasons for your discharge and to provide you with a list of other qualified providers.

GBH will be closed from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 2. Please note that messages will not be monitored during this time.
